  3. SUPERFIGHT is now available for a massive 80% discount from its regular price of $9.99. Not only that, there’s also a 30% discount to all existing DLC; excluding the Horror & Election DLC which was just released. It has never been a better time to join in on a game of absurd arguments with friends! Most importantly, we’ve also released a free update which includes Classic Mode bringing the digital version of SUPERFIGHT closer than ever to its physical counterpart. With the addition of Classic Mode the game now supports up to 8 players, doubling the maximum number of players. Classic Mode's format is much closer to the physical version of Superfight: the winner of a round continues on to fight the next player. At game creation, players decide on how many round wins determine the game winner. With more players, and more traditional rules - this modes allows you to include more friends in a game and play the game in a way most are used to.
  4. Hello Superfighters! The latest update adds a more traditional way to play, which we call "Classic Mode." But let's start with one of the most widely requested changes - allowing more players to join a single game. Classic mode supports three to eight players, doubling the maximum number of players per game. Classic Mode's format is much closer to the physical version of Superfight: the winner of a round continues on to fight the next player. At game creation, players decide on how many round wins determine the game winner. With more players, and more traditional rules - this modes allows you to include more friends in a game and play the game in a way most are used to. With a new mode in play, we wanted to give you an easy way to create and join games. Instead of matchmaking, we now show all games that are looking for players. When starting or joining games, you will find that we added a game browser. Any games needing more players are listed and can be sorted by the game mode. We hope you enjoy the update and additions! Stay tuned for more, and keep Superfighting!
  5. Welcome to Monday Matchup, where we select one random combination of cards included with the digital version of SUPERFIGHT to give you a small taste of the sort of ludicrous creatures you'll be arguing for and against. Today, we're highlighting a card combination from the new Anime Deck 2 DLC: An adorable robot with tentacles and a giant sword! When you think "anime," what comes to mind? Adorable humanoid machines? Unwieldy melee weapons? Squamous tentacles with unwholesome intentions? Whatever you're imagining, today's card combination has you covered! Don't be fooled by those puppy dog eyes, this bio-technological monstrosity is a killer to its metal core. Try to dodge that wicked, Sephirothian blade -- which, thanks to anime rules, is probably possessed by a demon, or constantly thirsting for human blood -- and you'll find yourself enveloped in a squirming, probing mass of tentacles. And let's not forget that there's a synthetic mind operating all of these weapon system. That sword is being swung with unerring aim and all the power of cutting-edge hydraulic actuators. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop ... ever, until you are dead!

  18. The September Update is Live!

It's here! The biggest update for SUPERFIGHT is now Live - there's a ton of new things, and we've touched on them briefly two posts ago. We'll start with what we've announced so far, and then move on to the rest of the cool stuff. Let's dive in. The Challenge Deck The Challenge Deck allows you to modify fights similar to Locations and Scenarios. These cards change the argument; it's no longer about a fight, but something specified in the deck. Who would win in a Hot Dog Eating Contest or a Rap Battle? This deck is free, and you'll find it in your Collection next time you log in. You'll start with most of the cards, but some unlock through progression. These cards can be turned on by the game host. Give these a shot for some hilarious arguments! Deck Selection Updates In the spirit of providing more ways to play with the cards you own, we wanted to let you mix and match your decks. Want Anime Characters with Walking Dead Attributes? DO IT. When you're about to enter a game, you can decide which parts of a deck you'd like to bring with you. This applies to Characters, Attributes, Locations, and Scenarios. Try mixing up your decks and see what happens. Tip: if you try mixing Red and Green! Voting Update We've improved a few things about voting as a judge IN game. We now allow you to vote at any time during the discussion. This frees you up to make that decision with a bit more time. We found that there was quite a bit of pressure to do so. We also added voting indicators for the judges. Once you vote for someone, your name shows up on the side you voted for. This makes it clearer to everyone in game that you've made a choice. We're hoping this also creates discussion around why judges are siding with a particular fighter. These changes also help us with... Sudden Death We want the winner to ALWAYS feel awesome. We felt the previous tie system while great, ultimately became a coin toss. That's no fun at all. So we're changing it up. Now, when judges can't agree on a winner, we go in to SUDDEN DEATH. We throw out the cards for both fighters, and draw again. This time, it's just characters. We make the fighters argue it out again - leaving it to the judges to come to agreement. We repeat this until the fighters make a compelling enough argument for the judges to agree. Get ready to lose more friends! Art Collection As you've seen through many of our posts, we've created art that supports some of the crazy combinations you can put together in SUPERFIGHT. We enjoyed the art so much that we made them a part of the game. We also thought it would be amazing if the art unlocked as you actually got the combinations in the illustration. Each picture uses a full combination of cards - one character and two attributes. You unlock each picture if you get two of the three cards during a round of SUPERFIGHT. Each picture also has a Title you can earn to go a long with it. New Titles In addition to the new Titles that unlock with the combinations from the Art Collection, we've put in several new Titles that unlock in the same manner. If you're able to make certain combinations, you earn a new Title. What's left? While the above additions and updates are the majority of what's going on, we've applied a number of fixes and tweaks to improve the game. We're continuing to listen to your feedback, and are now focused on the next big update. This one will be just as big - and I can share more soon. Until then, we hope you enjoy the new additions! Thank you for playing SUPERFIGHT! The Superfight Team
  19. The leaves are changing color, the sun is ducking behind the horizon earlier each day, and pumpkin spice flavoring has begun its annual infiltration into every food you love. It’s almost Fall, and we’re celebrating the changing of the seasons with a temporary changing of our prices. In other words, we’re hosting a free SUPERFIGHT weekend on Steam! From September 1st at 10AM PDT to September 5th at 10AM PDT, anyone with a Steam account will be able to download and try SUPERFIGHT, the game of absurd arguments, at no cost! This is your chance to not only check out SUPERFIGHT at no cost, but to also take a look at the new features we’ve added to the game, including the Challenge Deck game modifier, art gallery, and reworked tiebreaker system.
  20. Welcome to Monday Matchup, where we select one random combination of cards included with the digital version of SUPERFIGHT to give you a small taste of the sort of ludicrous creatures you'll be arguing for and against. Today, we're highlighting a combination that includes America's 14th President, a legion of the Arctic's most deadly flightless birds, and arms barely long enough to reach a stove-top hat: It's Abe Lincoln Leading an Army of Peguins with Tiny T-Rex arms! As a leader of the American people, Abe Lincoln earned a reputation as a wise, compassionate President who's name would be etched into our nation's historic tapestry. As a leader of deadly penguins, however, Abe Lincoln is a killing machine. Endless nature documentaries may have given you the false impression that penguins are nature's docile, tuxedo-clad pals. If you're ever trapped in the arctic, you might try befriending one of them, hoping its downy fluff might keep you warm against the elements. One moment you're snuggling up to a loudly squawking bird, and the next, it has confused your nose for a fish and chomped the thing clean off. Now, imagine that unsettling scene playing out a million times over. Dozens of penguins coming at you from every angle, while a man in an ominous stove-top hat looks on, laughing a bucolic laugh, and rubbing his tiny claws together menacingly. You struggle to recall the section of the Gettysburg Address that mentions murdering people with penguins, but before you can curse yourself for skipping so many high school history classes, the battle is over. The penguins stand victorious, Abe Lincoln looks on with fatherly pride, and opens his mouth to speak: "The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here."
  21. Welcome to Monday Matchup, where we select one random combination of cards included with the digital version of SUPERFIGHT to give you a small taste of the sort of ludicrous creatures you'll be arguing for and against. Today, we're highlighting a combination that combines brains, brawn, and multiple rows of razor-sharp teeth: A Mad Scientist Armed With A Jetpack And A Shark On A Chain. They say that sharks are nature's most perfect killing machine. For millennia, they've ruled the seas, devouring anything or anyone foolish enough to step foot into the water. The best defense against a shark is usually just avoiding the sea, but sometimes that's not an option. Sometimes a crazy genius drags one of these deadly creatures onto land, attaches a chain to its butt, and starts swinging the voracious hunter around like a hungry morning star. Picture this: You're relaxing, maybe enjoying a sunny day, far from the nearest body of water. The last thing you're concerned about is being bitten in half. Then, faintly in the distance, you hear a rumbling. It draws closer and you spot an odd shadow from overhead. Before you can react, a disheveled man in a lab coat swoops into view on a plume of hot jet exhaust. You try to gasp in shock, but the moment you open your mouth it's slapped shut by a flying dorsal fin. You turn to run, but the shark takes one massive chomp and suddenly you've got no legs. As you begin to pass out from this impromptu femur removal, you look up and silently ask the mad scientist, "Why?" He turns to you, laughs an especially crazy laugh, and says, "Grant money, of course! Sharks don't grow on trees ... yet."
  22. Greetings, Superfighters! We're happy to announce that both the Anime and Expansion One DLC Decks will be available to purchase tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM PDT. 23. Welcome to Monday Matchup, where we select one random combination of cards included with the digital version of SUPERFIGHT to give you a small taste of the sort of ludicrous creatures you'll be arguing for and against. Today, we're highlighting a combination that seems adorable but can quickly prove deadly: Three Children Wearing An Overcoat, Riding A Pigeon, And Wielding Slothchuks. Most dangers in SUPERFIGHT are fairly obvious. You're right to be wary of depressed Polar Bears and heavily-armed former Presidents. But sometimes, the most terrifying card combinations are also the most adorable. Anyone who spent their formative years watching sitcoms will recognize that there are very few reasons why three children would pile on top of each other's shoulders and don an overcoat. Clearly they're trying to pass as a single, lumpy adult, but why? To get into an R-rated movie? To rent a carpet shampooer? No, the reality is much more sinister. These youngsters have realized that by seemingly multiplying their size and age, not only will they intimidate their opponents, but they can also call on allies from the animal kingdom. The pigeon, usually too busy scavenging from dumpsters to bother with the affairs of humans, serves as a noble, flying steed, ferrying the kids anywhere in the world while raining down droppings like a disgusting B-52 bomber. See the blissful look on that sloth's face? The lil' fella is clearly having a blast as a living weapon! While a sloth's claws are most often used to pluck delicate leaves and strip bark from tropical trees, they're equally at home buried in the ruined flesh of anyone foolish enough to think, "Aw! I wanna pet the cute sloth!"
